Paro is a town and seat of Paro District in the Paro Valley of Bhutan,Thimphu, formerly spelled Thimbu, is the capital and largest city of Bhutan. It is situated in the western central part of Bhutan and the surrounding valley is one of Bhutan's dzongkhags, the Thimphu District.

Day1: Arrival NJP/ IXB–Pheuntsholing

Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP / IXB & transfer to Pheuntsholing – The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India, Pheuntsholing (also sometimes spelled Phuntsholing) is the second largest town in Bhutan (population around 40,000) and is located on the Indian border, next to the town of Jaigaon. Bhutan BhuddhaTravel representative will meet you on arrival at Phunsholing gate.  Evening free. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day2: Phuntsholing-Paro

Bhutan BhuddhaTravel representative will meet you on arrival at Phunsholing gate. We will transfer you to Thimphu, on the way we will make our first stop to visit Kharbandi Gonpa about 5 km above Phuntsholing. This monastery was built by Royal Grandmother, Ashi Phuntsho Choedron in 1967. 
From this point the road climbs steeply up into the hills, to an altitude of approximately 2,000m/6,560ft. We will make stops along the way from time to time, so as not to miss the magnificent view of the Indian plains and the Toorsa River below.

On the way you will also see the first hydro power electric project ever built in Bhutan. Leaving Chukha we will stop at the small town of Chimakothi. Lunch is served en route.

After passing through Chapcha the road reaches its highest point of about 2,800m/9,185ft, then descends steeply and runs along the banks of the Wang Chu (river) to Chuzom (meaning confluence), where the Paro Chu runs into the Wang Chu. From here it is only about 30 min drive up the valley to Paro. On arrival in Paro, check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Day 3: Hike to Tiger’s Nest

The hike to Taktsang would take us around 2 ½ hrs to reach a cafeteria, a point from where one can enjoy great view of the monastery. Those interested can walk further 45 minutes uphill to get a closer view of the monastery. Walk down back to road. The journey downward to the road would take us less 1 ½ hrs. Have lunch at a restraint in town. After lunch take in Paro Bazar. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 4: Paro-Thimphu

You will visit the great edifice (Paro Dzong) which was constructed in the year 1644 for religious institution, government offices & administrative   headquarters. You will also visit the National museum (watch tower for the Dzong). Now it is   a house for the collection of fine arts, paintings, thangka and antiques.

We will also take you to Drugyal Dzong (a ruin fortress). Though it is ruined at present but it is of Great historic importance to the country because it was the place where the Bhutanese had finally defeated the Tibetan invaders and drove them back.

 You will also get to see the Mount Jomolhari (mountain of Goddesses) on a clear day. In the evening Transfer to Thimphu. Thimphu sightseeing. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 5: Thimphu-Phuntsholing

Drive back to Phuntsholing. Bhutan Buddha escort will help you with exit formalities. Overnight at the hotel in Phuntsholing.

Day 6: Phuentsholing - NJP /IXB Airport Drop

Bhutan Buddha escort will bid you farewell.
