Day1: Arrival to Tokyo

Welcome on arrival at Tokyo & Transfer to Hotel Make by private car or train. For train issue your Japan Rail Pass & arrive to Hotel. Overnight Stay at Tokyo.

Day2: Tokyo Shopping & Sightseeing

Tokyo Akihabara, after breakfast you will drive to disband in the Ginza shopping district at approximately 1:00pm. Visit Tokyo Tower - Enjoy a panoramic view of the famous Tokyo skyline from the main observation platform. Meiji Shrine - The finest example of Japanese shrine architecture nestled in a peaceful, picturesque park containing over 120,000 trees.  Imperial Palace East Garden - Enjoy a pleasant walk in the East Garden of the Imperial Palace, of historical interest and scenic beauty. Post tour, board a subway to Tokyo Station and then board a local train to Akihabara Station. To most foreign visitors Akihabara is known as "Electric City" due to hundreds of electronic stores found in this district. In recent years Akihabara has become home to a number of shops specializing in Japanese animation "Anime and Manga" which is growing increasingly popular around the world.

Day3: Tokyo Sightseeing

Tokyo Rainbow Bridge, Odaiba Take a day trip to the seaside town called Kamakura. famous for a number of temples, shrines and beautiful Japanese gardens. visit include: The Great Buddha, this giant bronze statue of Buddha stands at 13.35m tall and is the second largest in Japan. Return to Tokyo in the late afternoon.

Day4: Tokyo - Kyoto Great Buddah, Kamakura

Check out from Hotel at Tokyo & transfer to Kyoto. When travelling through Shizuoka keep a lookout for Mount Fuji in the distance. Your accommodation at the New Miyako Hotel is a 2 minute walk from Kyoto Station. After check in, commence exploring the sights of Japan's old capital and board a Subway Karasuma Line train 2 stops to Shijo Station, the busiest shopping district in Kyoto. There are a number of cafes, restaurants, shops to explore. From Shijo Station, walk down to Nishiki Food Market (10 min) Here you can try various Japanese foods from traditional sweets to fresh seafood. In the late afternoon walk towards Gion, Kyoto's famous entertainment district which is open until late at night. Gion is the one place in Japan where you may see Maiko or Geisha scampering between appointments. arrive to the Hotel. Overnight Stay at Kyoto.

Day5: Kyoto Sightseeing

Kyoto Gion District, Kyoto Commence your exploration of the ancient city of Kyot. Visit  by bus to Nijo Castle, the Golden Pavilion, and the Kyoto Imperial Palace (on Sat., Sun. & national holidays, visit Higashi Honganji Temple instead). The tour will disband at the Kyoto Handicraft Centre. This is an excellent place to purchase authentic Japanese arts and crafts. The centre offers a complimentary transfer to Kyoto Station with a return time around 1:30pm.  In the afternoon board a local bus to the base of Kiyomizu Dera Temple. walk up this attractive winding road lined with colorful souvenir and craft shops. Kiyomizu Dera is famous for its giant wooden stage overlooking panoramic views of Kyoto. Its main hall is entirely constructed of wood and supported by huge columns and beams without the use of a single nail, screw or bolt. Back to the Hotel. Overnight Stay at Kyoto.

Day6: Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto Todaiji Temple, Nara

 A full day of sightseeing awaits you in Nara. Here, you can find peace of mind and natural beauty as you uncover the many treasures of Japan's former capital (710-784AD).

If the weather is kind you may like to have your lunch in the picturesque Nara Park amongst the many tame deer that roam the area. At the end of the park is the World Heritage listed cultural assets Todaiji Temple - the world's largest wooden building housing the "Giant Buddha" that soars 16 meters in height. Return to Kyoto in the late afternoon and make time to visit the Sky Plaza Observation Deck on top of Kyoto Station for a free panoramic view of the surrounding area of Kyoto. This modern station also contains a large shopping mall, department store, specialty shops and restaurants. Stay: New Miyako Hotel - 3/3 Back to the Hotel. Overnight Stay at Kyoto.

Day7: Departure

Depart Japan Shinkansen Bullet Trains Spend your last day in Japan completing any final sightseeing or shopping. For those departing from Tokyo board a bullet train from JR Kyoto Station to Tokyo Station. (3 hrs). Within Tokyo Station change trains and board the Narita Limited Express train to Narita International Airport (70 min).  For Osaka, board the Haruka train from Kyoto Station to Kansai Airport. (80 min)
