Day1: Dimapur to Kohima 80 kms/2.5 hrs)
Welcome on arrival at Dimapur Airport/Railway Station and transfer to the Kohima. Evening free for your own and Relax. Overnight stay at Kohima.
Today you will explore the treasures of Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. Kohima played a key role in World War II, where the Naga tribes fought alongside Allied forces against Japan on the tennis court of the British Deputy Commissioner’s house. Visit the beautiful war cemetery built on a terraced hillside for the brave hearts that died in the war and visit a private museum that holds some of the best artifacts from World War II. From here, continue to the Angami village of Khonoma where you'll relish a local lunch. Admire the traditional architecture of carved gateways and surrounding stone walls, visit morungs and participate in indigenous games like wrestling with the local warriors.
Khonoma Green Village: Located 21 kms away from Kohima town the Khonoma village is the first "green village" of Nagaland. The village is well known for the legendary leader Angami Zapu Phizo who was the founder of the Naga movement. It is in this place where the Naga warriors made their last endeavor against the British aggression in 1879.'Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tragopan Sanctuary' (KNCTS) was initiated to create the environmental awareness among the inhabitants and reserved about 70 sq km of its village forest. The village is also famous for the fallow management of its alder trees which balances nature in the surrounding areas.
Morning Breakfast, proceed to visit Kisama where celebrate Hornbil Festival every year. Later proceed to Tuphema Tourist Village
Tuephema Tourist Village: Lying between Mokokchung and Kohima highway Tuephema is a unique village resort in the midst of blue hills. It is a good example of eco and rural tourism where one can experience modern and hygienic accommodations in the traditional huts in an ethnic setting. The local villagers show cases their culture through traditional dances and ethnic foods including rice beer. Evening free for shopping. Overnight stay Kohima
Day4: Kohima – Kaziranga (250 kms/ 6 hrs)
Morning Breakfast & proceed to Kaziranga. On arrival check in at Hotel & enjoy cultural folk dance at Rang Sandhya. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Kaziranga remains open for tourist from 1st nov to 30th april.
